The Love Story That Never Happened

Genre: Alternative

Through alternative, pop, and rock music, Indigo tells the story of falling in love and having that love be unrequited. She also touches on the complex topic of self-identity and how she prefers not to be labeled anything. This bold and beautiful EP is different from Indigo’s other projects because she is actually singing, speaking, and performing spoken word all throughout it. This was a shocker since originally she was an instrumental artist only. Through this album she broke out even more as an artist, showing the world many more of her creative gifts, and broke out as a person as this EP is like reading her journal with all her deep personal feelings being expressed. She made this EP to help comfort others who are queer like her, who have been through what she has, and to help others understand queer people more. It is her wish that through her breath-taking timeless hits like Girl from Colorado, Would You Be My Bunny Senpai, and Wanderin’ Myst that relationships are healed and that the bridge of forgiveness and understanding is built when it comes to showing more love and acceptance to everyone who identifies with the identity of being Queer. “For we love and feel pain just like everyone else. I want people to see passed our sexual orientations and identities, and just see us as humans who love other humans.”
